Scoutmaster: Gary Brumfield

Mr. Gary Brumfield, or "Mr. Gary" to the boys, was an original member of Troop 42 about 50 years ago. He recently earned the Woodbadge certification, scouting's highest leadership training award.  Mr. Gary retired as the chief of Christiansburg Town Police in 2007 and now works part time for the Virginia State Parks.

Assistant Scoutmaster: Jack Atkins

Mr. Jack Atkins was also an original member of Troop 42, alongside Mr. Gary.  Together, they have revitalized Troop 42 at Trinity Baptist Church.

TROOP 42 will  and WE WELCOME HOME Assistant Scoutmaster Dan Forney from his Afghanistan deployment.  CPT Forney returned on June 12, 2012!  Go Navy!

Troop 42 is proud of Eagle Scout Steven (Stu) R. Messer in the Marine Corps. Steven is the older brother of Boy Scout Lee Messer.
